Team and Environment
Our Facilities Maintenance Team operates like a self-contained town, maintaining the smooth and safe operation of the prison, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community. You will work alongside experienced colleagues including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference.
Responsibilities and Requirements
* Minimum of two years experience as a heating or combustion engineer or equivalent.
* Knowledge of Water Supply Regulations and Legionella L8 control requirements.
* Familiarity with Gas Safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and industry standards.
* Experience with commercial catering gas appliances is beneficial.
* Qualified plumber (C&G 6035, C&G 6189, NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent).
* Certifications in CCN1 (domestic gas safety), COCN1 (commercial gas safety), and relevant units.
* Good health and safety knowledge.
* Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
