Bridge Vets in are excited to welcome an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, fast-paced team. This is a varied role combining consulting and surgery across our well-established branch sites, offering the opportunity to work within a supportive, collaborative, multi-site environment.

We're looking for a confident vet who enjoys being part of a busy practice and is comfortable with an element of sole charge. In return, you'll have the opportunity to develop your clinical interests and be part of a team that genuinely values its people.

We care about your work/life balance

We truly care about work-life balance and offer working patterns that flex around your lifestyle. The full time role consists of 40 hours per week, with a 1 in 5 share of the Saturday rota and no out-of-hours commitments. We're happy to fix or flex rotas to support school runs, school holidays, or a working pattern that better suits your personal commitments.

Our goal is to make flexibility practical and meaningful, so you can thrive both at work and at home. We understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and are committed to working with you to find a pattern that fits your needs and priorities.

Meet like-minded professionals

Bridge Vets operates across 4 first-opinion small animal branches, supported by our sister practice, Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals, creating a strong, collaborative clinical network.

You'll be joining an experienced team of 11 Veterinary Surgeons and 13 Registered Veterinary Nurses, supported by 10 Student Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants. The team includes an Internal Medicine certificate holder and a vet with a strong interest in exotics, and we actively support certificate study and specialist interests.

Our practices are well equipped with ultrasound, digital main and dental x-ray, in-house lab machines, multiple consulting rooms, theatres, and dedicated prep areas. We're always keen to invest in new equipment to support developing clinical interests.

Our location & culture

Based in Aberdeen, you'll enjoy the perfect balance of coastal living, open countryside, and city life. From sandy beaches and scenic coastal walks to the vibrant food scene, culture, and amenities of the city centre, there's something for every lifestyle.

Aberdeen offers excellent transport links, with direct rail services to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and beyond, and Aberdeen International Airport providing regular UK and international flights. The city is also well connected by road via the A90 and A92, making travel across the North East of Scotland straightforward.

At Bridge Vets, culture is at the heart of what we do. You'll be joining a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive team that values collaboration, wellbeing, and professional development, creating an environment where you can truly thrive both personally and professionally.
