TXM Recruit are supporting a leading automotive manufacturer in the search for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker. This role focuses on producing high-quality automotive panels using traditional and modern fabrication techniques.
Key Responsibilities
* Manufacturing and shaping panels using sheet metal tools and techniques.
* Reading and working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
* Joining components using welding, riveting, bonding, and TIG methods.
* Operating workshop machinery (guillotines, pan benders, grinders, etc.).
* Hand forming panels and developing blanks/forms to meet customer standards.
* Ensuring all work meets required quality and safety procedures.
Requirements
* Time-served Sheet Metal Worker (essential).
* Strong sheet metal, fitting, and fabrication skills.
* Proficient with standard metalworking hand tools and workshop machinery.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and meet high-quality finish requirements.
