Competitive rate, temporary Contract approx. 10 months, payrolled through recruitment agency inside IR35.
We’re looking for both day and nightshift –

Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.
The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipe Welder to join our team. This is a key role for a welder with a strong background in the offshore market and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality standards.
* Perform high-precision pipe welding in 6G positions on carbon and alloy steels
* Work from detailed Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and engineering drawings with absolute accuracy
* Apply your skills using MAG (Process 135 – solid wire) and FCAW (Process 136 – flux-cored arc) for structural and pressure welds
* Use a full range of pipefitting tools (grinders, gougers, etc.) to achieve a high-quality finish
* Deliver consistent, high-integrity welds that meet or exceed industry and client standards
* Complete single and multi-run fillet welds and full-penetration butt welds to a flawless finish
* Ensure full compliance with client specifications, standards and procedures.
* Participate in inspections and maintain accurate records, including weld traceability using operator ID codes
* Carry out any required repairs or modifications while maintaining a focus on weld quality and reliability
Key Skills & experience
* Solid experience in offshore pipe welding, ideally in oil & gas or marine environments
* Certification in 6G positional welding, backed by a portfolio of first-class work
* Demonstrated proficiency in Process 135, 136, and FCAW
* Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings, isometrics, and weld symbols
* Deep understanding and adherence to high quality assurance standards, including, ISO 9606, or similar codes
* Ability to pass rigorous trade tests
Bonus If You Have:
* Experience in heavy fabrication or large-scale offshore projects
* Strong QA/QC awareness, with the ability to self-check welds before inspection
