We're now looking for a visionary Head of Engineering to lead our tech team and help scale the software that will change how the world approaches nature risk.


What you’ll do 🚀

You’ll report directly to the CEO and work alongside our Head of Product, Chief Science Officer, and Head of Delivery. You’ll lead the technology strategy, build a world-class engineering team, and deliver a product our customers love.


You will:

* Own the technology strategy and delivery of secure, performant, scalable software.
* Build and lead a high-performing team across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and data.
* Ensure engineering excellence, balancing quality, speed, and impact.
* Drive innovation across our product, internal tools, and scientific data workflows.
* Lead security and infrastructure—including ISO 27001 certification.
* Stay hands-on—you’re just as comfortable coding and reviewing as you are with strategy.
* Collaborate at the highest levels, representing tech in executive and board conversations.


You should apply if 💡

You have:

* A proven track record as a senior engineering leader in high-growth B2B SaaS.
* Experience building and shipping complex products, including those with data science and AI components.
* Technical depth across Python, Typescript, GraphQL, AWS, and Terraform.
* A track record of enabling strong engineering culture and delivery practices.
* Experience in early-stage, fast-moving environments—and you love the pace.
* Superb people leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Bonus points for:

* Experience with geospatial data, sustainability, risk or compliance domains.
* Prior work achieving and maintaining ISO27001 in a SaaS context.
