Job Title: Assistant Buyer

About the Role
Your role will be to assist the Purchasing Manager by efficiently placing purchase orders and planning deliveries of raw materials to meet the needs of the company and its customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders such as production, warehouse, planning, and sales.
2. Identify the best prices and services with suppliers, and seek out new supplier opportunities.
3. Continuously improve internal processes and procedures.
4. Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
About You
You should have some experience in buying or purchasing, preferably within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment. Additionally, you should:
* Demonstrate success in managing supplier relationships.
* Possess good commercial and business acumen.
* Have strong negotiating skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
* Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team across multiple departments.
The position offers a salary of approximately £40,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including life assurance and a generous pension scheme. The company also provides additional training and qualification opportunities.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, during office hours.
