A friendly and flexible firm, based not too far from Crystal Palace, is looking for a junior Solicitor to join their thriving criminal law team. They have a strong focus on client experience, which has led them to having a busy caseload of incoming matters! Because of this they are looking for someone to join their team at a junior level, with a successful candidate being one who is friendly and a strong communicator, able to represent candidates in a magistrates court, and interested in progressing their career.
This firm offers an opportunity with great progression and training, excellent flexibility, and no strict targets. This is an excellent option for a junior Crime Solicitor looking for their first steps post-qualification.
Responsibilities:
* Conducting criminal law cases from inception to conclusion with a good level of independence and responsibility.
* Assisting partners and senior lawyers with their caseload of files dealing effectively with a variety of matters.
* Input and assist with the development of the department and larger firm.
* Dealing directly with clients and maintaining the highest standard of care, taking instructions and ensuring full compliance.
* Liaising with all parties including defendants, government agencies, courts or other relevant parties.
* Skills and Experience:
* UK qualified Solicitor NQ-3 PQE with training from a reputable firm.
* Strong experience with criminal law matters, with the ability to conduct magistrate court cases and an interested in complex crown court matters.
* An interest in becoming police station or duty accredited, or current Police station or Duty accreditation.
* Strong interpersonal skills interacting with clients and colleagues.
* A passionate personality with an enthusiasm for developing their team and greater firm.
