SEND Teaching Assistant – New Forest
Immediate Start | Long-Term & Day-to-Day Supply | £ per day
Are you a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference?
Prospero Teaching is working closely with specialist provisions, SEN schools, and mainstream schools with SEND units across the New Forest, who are seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs on a long-term or day-to-day supply basis, with immediate starts available.
The Role:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
2. Support children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
3. Assist with personalised learning plans and tailored interventions
4. Help manage behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
5. Support pupils emotional wellbeing and social development
6. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
7. Has previous UK SEND or school-based experience (essential)
8. Is patient, nurturing, and resilient
9. Has a strong understanding of inclusion and safeguarding
10. Is confident supporting pupils with additional needs
11. Experience with personal care or challenging behaviour is desirable (but not essential)
