We have an exciting opportunity for you to work an average of 2 days per week. This role involves full-time work during the Autumn and Winter months, with the Spring and Summer off!

Responsibilities
As a Train Manager, you will support GBRf in delivering a safe, reliable, and best-in-class service to our customers. Your role will involve liaising with Rail Operators, Signallers, and Contractors to meet customer requirements and ensure trains arrive on time.
Qualifications
This shift-based role requires a flexible attitude to working hours, with a nominal 34.5-hour week. Shifts vary and include 24/7 coverage, particularly at night, which is typical for freight operations.
* Current Freight Train Driving Experience is essential to apply.
* Salary: £35,445.00 per annum
* Candidates must have a satisfactory safety record and hold a valid UK driving licence.
* Extensive route and traction knowledge within the local area is desirable.
* Proficiency with IT packages such as Word, Outlook, and downloading applications on iPads is required.
* A safety-conscious and calm attitude in emergencies is essential.
* Excellent concentration and observational skills are needed.
* Clear and professional communication skills are necessary to relay safety messages effectively.
* Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
* Train Managers must reside within 45 minutes of their workplace.
* Applicants must possess a UK/EU Train Driver Licence.
