As our Key Account Manager, you will manage an existing portfolio of corporate accounts to achieve sales and margin targets while retaining profitable customers. Develop new areas of spend by identifying sales opportunities across categories to ensure year-on-year growth.
Main Responsibilities
As our Key Account Manager, you will:
* Ensure achievement of sales and margin targets.
* Develop successful business partnerships across a customer base while maintaining a value-added service to ensure successful trading relationships.
* Identify key areas for growth and gross profit increase by providing the entire ‘Workplace Solution’ within corporate accounts.
* Negotiate and retain existing business through re-tendering processes and secure fixed-term agreements.
* Visit accounts quarterly; create and deliver account development plans.
* Manage a territory area.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful as our Key Account Manager, you must have:
* Ability to transmit information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, using appropriate language and channels for the audience.
* Ability to build trust, respect, and rapport quickly at all levels.
* Make appropriate decisions about when to act independently or consult others and follow through on tasks with minimal reminders.
* Understanding of the aims and objectives of the business and ability to apply this to varied situations.
* Use of commercial judgment considering multiple factors when making decisions or recommendations.
* Self-management skills, including time management, planning, prioritizing, and completing responsibilities timely.
* Complete understanding of the sales and business development process, with strong commercial acumen.
