About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Manufacturing & Production Manager to lead our production operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes, while driving continuous improvement and supporting business growth.
You will oversee day-to-day production activities, manage teams, and ensure that output, quality, and cost targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all production and manufacturing operations
* Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are met
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. lean manufacturing, waste reduction)
* Monitor and improve operational efficiency and productivity
* Manage, coach, and develop production teams and supervisors
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
* Collaborate with quality, engineering, and supply chain functions
* Manage production budgets, resources, and performance metrics
* Oversee equipment maintenance and operational reliability
Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Proven experience in a manufacturing or production management role
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Experience managing KPIs, production planning, and performance
* Sound understanding of health and safety requirements in manufacturing
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
* Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
* Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
* Experience working with ERP or production planning systems
* Background in engineering or technical manufacturing environments
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (desirable)
* Relevant management or professional qualifications (advantageous)

· Working Hours 37.50 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm and 8.30am to 1.00pm on Friday
