Senior Account Manager – VAR/MSP - Local Government
💰 £75,000 + uncapped commission + car allowance
We’re partnered with a highly successful and well-established Managed Service Provider (MSP) that continues to go from strength to strength within the Public Sector.
Following an exceptional year, where their Local Government division was named the top-performing team in the business, they’re now looking to hire an additional Senior Account Manager to help manage and grow their expanding portfolio of Local Authority customers.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of up to 10 existing Local Government clients, developing strategic relationships and driving long-term value through technology-led solutions.
You’ll be working within an established, high-performing team and have access to a strong support network across pre-sales, bid, and technical delivery to help you focus on what you do best, building partnerships and solving customer challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Managing a portfolio of established Local Government accounts, focusing on retention and growth.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across IT, procurement, and operations.
* Identifying opportunities to deliver value through cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and managed service solutions.
* Working closely with pre-sales and technical teams to design and deliver effective, scalable solutions.
* Developing account strategies that align with customers’ digital transformation and service improvement goals.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager within a VAR or MSP.
* A strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud, and managed services.
* Experience working with Public Sector or Local Government clients.
* Excellent relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* A consultative approach, with the ability to translate customer needs into effective solutions.
