Hourly Rate: NegotiableHAYS Recruitment is working with a leading organisation in York to recruit an experienced Plumber / Gas Engineer for a long-term temporary assignment, with a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent.Role OverviewYou will be part of the on-site estates team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a commercial environment. This is a static role, working on one site only, providing a consistent and structured working week.What You'll Be Doing
* Undertaking plumbing and gas maintenance, repairs, and installations
* Responding to reactive issues as needed
* Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Ensuring all work meets compliance and safety standards
* Reporting directly to the Estates Manager

What We're Looking For
* Qualified Plumber with Gas certification (domestic or commercial)
* Experience in commercial building maintenance
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
