Quality Engineer
Somercotes, Derbyshire
Monday – Friday (early finish on a Friday)
£28,000 – £30,000 DOE plus large company benefits package
Our client, a successful and expanding company, is looking to appoint a Quality Engineer the main purpose of the role is to support senior management with the continuous improvement and development of the business. They are a forward-thinking company and are able to offer ongoing training and development.

Key responsibilities for Quality Engineer:
1. Visual Inspection
2. Dimensional work – use of Callipers, gauges, micrometres, and other hand-equipment
3. Operation and programming of CMM and Planar (camera system for 2D measurement)
4. Use of microscope
5. Ability to write/update Work Instructions, issue Quality Alerts and other documents
6. Control of non-conforming product, RCA, CAPA, 5Y, 8D
7. First point of contact for Customer Concerns (with occasional visits, so needs to drive)
8. SAP system usage is advantageous (or similar MRP)
9. Internal Auditor qualification/experience
10. Understanding of ISO9001:2015
11. Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects
Experience required for the Quality Engineer role:
12. Previous Quality Inspector/engineer experience
13. Excellent communication skills
14. PC Literate
15. Pro-active
16. Strong attention to detail
17. Clean driving licence as you will need to visit client sites
