Job Description
3. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
4. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
5. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
6. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
7. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
8. Provide financial analysis and reports to support decision-making processes.
9. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
10. Support the implementation of process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
11. A recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
12. Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting principles and standards.
13. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
14. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
15. Experience working within the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous.
16. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
17. The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
