Would you like to be part of leading health and wellbeing service in the provision of mental health, community and inpatient care? Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead the Mental Health Liaison Team in North East Essex. The post provides mental health consultation and liaison advice to wards and A&E departments at Colchester General Hospital.
The Mental Health Liaison Team provides psychiatric assessment and management for patients of all ages presenting with coexisting mental health difficulties. This includes urgent and emergency presentations to the Emergency Department, referrals from medical and surgical inpatient wards, and coordinated care with Home Treatment Teams, Crisis Response Services and community teams across Colchester and Tendring. The team operates 24/7.
The trust supports CPD for newly qualified consultants and encourages educational and research interests. There are links with ARU and other educational establishments for teaching and shared appointments.
You must have full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register with an appropriate CCT or equivalent, or be within six months of obtaining your CCT on the date of AAC.
