Your skillset will allow you to concurrently lead the development of strategic delivery plans, influence strategy implementation, establish and manage key stakeholder relationships whilst growing diverse and inclusive delivery teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leads the coordination and delivery of a major programme and oversees the implementation of programme strategies, provides strategic direction and monitors delivery in alignment with overall vision and objectives.
2. Accountable for defining and implementing an appropriate programme delivery environment including people, organisation, process, information and technology.
3. Responsible for determining and assembling the right diverse project team with the right skills, experience, capabilities and technical competency, including any required external specialist appointments.
4. Responsible for improving performance from the bid baseline by optimizing resources and monitoring, reviewing and evaluating activities, systems and methodologies.
5. Relationship owner and primary contact for Executive team engagement. Responsible for ensuring efficient governance to support programme activities within the business and gaining organisational support and commitment within the business, ensuring the achievement of strategic priorities.
6. Key client relationship management, interface, communication and constructive challenge. Responsible for Client Relationship Management (CRM).
7. Acts as the public face of the programme to external stakeholders. Chairing executive steering group meetings.
8. Accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, governance, risk, stakeholder management and programme compliance standards.
9. Oversees the development and maintenance of programme documentation, including process and procedures, plans, reports, registers, and lessons learned.
10. Creates and nurtures a high-performing and inclusive team environment that encourages contribution and recognition.
11. Engenders, promotes and influences quality and Service Excellence in all conversations and programme interactions.
12. Ensures the programme is operating an effective risk management strategy with appropriate management actions and risk treatments established.
13. Responsible for conveying and connecting the wider business strategy to the programme team and promoting the associated initiatives.
14. Actively networks and utilises the full depth and knowledge of the business and Centres of Excellence to support programme delivery. Actively promotes knowledge share with others.
15. Ensures operations are fiscally, commercially and ethically viable, influencing the achievement of business objectives (including debt collection) and meeting organisational and legislative compliance obligations.
16. Builds and maintains internal and external relationships (e.g. clients, contractors, consultancies and other stakeholders) to foster growth and increase networks.
17. Provides thought leadership and expertise in programme management and execution.
About you
You have a relevant technical degree and have previously thrived in the delivery of multi-billion pound infrastructure-led programmes of work. You will have lived and breathed the whole programme lifecycle, being as comfortable in set-up as you are in close-out. You have proven experience and track-record for delivering major programmes and advanced technical understanding of programme management practices, controls, programme governance and programme procedures. You have leadership and management experience and can lead a large team. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead outstanding, diverse teams.
