This post will require the jobholder to work alongside other agencies in the outer west area and other areas of the city when required.
Responsibilities
* A part of the post holders’ responsibilities will be to enhance the reputation of the organisation by giving presentations.
* The co-ordinator will be responsible for co-ordinating, planning, managing, developing, reviewing all work within the office in adherence to the aims and objectives of the organisation with guidance from the Manager and Management Committee.
* The recruitment, selection and support of volunteers ensuring the organisations vetting procedures are adhered to.
* The organisation of training for Volunteers.
* The collation and analysis of casework records ensuring that these are used to contribute to developing best practice and in raising awareness of particular trends.
* The day-to-day management of the local office and volunteer practitioners.
* Taking part at all opportune times in PR exercises.
* Ensuring all clients is treated with respect.
* Allocation of casework and roistering of volunteer practitioners.
* Ensuring records are maintained in a safe and confidential manner.
* Collating Monthly Reports for DfC. Deliver mediations.
* Supporting organisations and projects as agreed by the Manager
* Representing the organisation at other meetings.
* Deliver, on your own or in partnership.
* Community Safety and Crime Prevention Initiatives.
* Support victims of crime. Make Referrals to other Agencies.
* Chair Outer West Neighbourhood Safety Team meetings
* Any other work as deemed necessary by the management committee.
Skills and Qualifications
* Third level qualification in related subject area and 2 Years Experience.
* or at least 3 years’ experience of Project co-ordination.
* Intimate knowledge of the issues and concerns where Community Restorative Justice will operate.
* Project organisation principles and practice.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in multi-deprived neighbourhood.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to work with, and be accountable to, Manager and Management Committee.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Networking ability.
* Flexibility ability to work unsociable hours, weekends etc.
* Restorative Justice Training.
* Computer Literate.
* Experience of working in the Community and Voluntary sector in multi deprived area.
* Experience in Delivering Mediation.
* Monitoring and evaluation principles and practice.
* Access to transport.
