Lead Mechanical & Electrical Engineer\nLocation: High End residential - Westminster, London\nLandlord side only.\n\nOverview:\nWe are currently recruiting for a Lead M&E Engineer for a prestigious high-end residential development, located in the heart of Westminster near the Houses of Parliament. This flagship site, comprising of over 200 luxury apartments.\nThis is a standalone, site-based position with additional labour support provided during peak operational periods.\nThis opportunity is ideal for a multi-skilled engineer who thrives in a client-facing environment, can confidently manage subcontractors, and is looking for long-term career progression within a supportive and growing company.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAct as the lead on-site M&E engineer, responsible for all landlord and life safety systems including:\n\nFire alarms\nSprinkler systems\nCCTV and access control\nFan coil units (FCUs)\nHeat interface units (HIUs)\n\nConduct routine plant checks and light testing within apartments.\nServe as the first point of contact for cooling system issues—diagnose minor faults or escalate to external contractors as needed.\nManage and coordinate with up to 20 subcontractors on site, ensuring timely and quality completion of works.\nPerform monthly emergency lighting tests, with labour assistance provided as needed.\nMaintain and update issue-tracking spreadsheets and other maintenance documentation.\nAttend and contribute to monthly site and client meetings, providing technical insight where required.\nLiaise directly with tenants, the building manager, and representatives, ensuring all communications are professional and well-documented.\n\nCandidate Profile:\nEssential:\n\nMulti-skilled engineer with a solid foundation in both mechanical and electrical disciplines (full dual qualification not required).\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nConfident and professional in client-facing scenarios.\nStrong basic IT skills, especially in email correspondence and Excel.\nDesirable:\n\nExperience within high-end residential developments.\nBackground managing subcontractors and working independently on site.\nExperience with HIU/FCU servicing and BMS monitoring.\n\nSalary & Benefits:\n\n£45,000 - £47,000, depending on experience.\n23 days holiday, increasing to 24 days after two years and 25 days after three years, plus bank holidays.\nCompany pension scheme.\nAnnual company Christmas party and team-focused working culture.\nStable, smaller business structure where individual contributions are recognised.\n\nWork Schedule:\n\nMonday to Friday\n08:00 – 17:00\nNo call-out duties\n\nTo apply, please submit your CV and a brief covering statement outlining your suitability for the role
