Day to day Tasks:
1. Successfully complete study tasks set by BPP, our training provider;
2. Respond to post, telephone enquiries and queries from clients;
3. Assist Fee Earners with their case load;
4. Effectively manage your own time, ensuring that chargeable and non-chargeable hours targets are met under supervision;
5. Work on files as instructed by your supervisor, which could include (among other things) attending meetings, drafting letters and documents, research and document review;
6. Carry out administrative duties as instructed by your supervisor;
7. Deal with new enquiries and set up initial meetings;
8. Enter, maintain and update client details and relevant information on the case management system; and
9. Manage legal documentation in strict confidence.
Minimum Requirements:
10. 5 GCSEs between A* - C (9 – 4) including English and Maths;
11. A minimum 2:2 Law Degree or a 2:2 non-law Degree plus a pass on a Law Conversion Course within the previous 5 years;
12. A professional, flexible and reliable attitude and approach;
13. Strong time management and planning skills are essential to the role;
14. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment;
15. Customer focus with a proactive “can do” attitude and eagerness to be helpful on every call;
16. Strong communication skills & ability to communicate at all levels and across all departments;
17. Able to work within a team as well as independently;
18. Able to demonstrate initiative, strong work ethic and ability to prioritise and problem solve; and
19. Have a good understanding of Microsoft office, telephones and able to grasp case management systems.
