Specialty Doctor in Anaesthetics
Are you an experienced Anaesthetist who can work independently?
Join our vibrant Department of Anaesthetics as a Speciality Doctor. We aim to provide a varied working environment. The role is a mixture of elective daytime anaesthesia and resident full shift work providing emergency Anaesthesia services including nights and weekend as part of a resident 1:7 on-call rota.
This role is suited to doctors wishing to progress their careers and attendance at the great teaching sessions within our department will be encouraged. You must have a minimum of 12 months NHS experience for this post.

Main duties of the job
You must be comfortable working independently with distant supervision.
You must have a minimum of 4 years experience working as an anaesthetist at least 2 of which will be in a specialty training programme in anaesthesia or as a fixed-term specialty trainee in anaesthesia or equivalent.
The contract will be for 10 PA's per week including working evening, nights and weekends. This will include one Supporting PA (SPA) and allows time for pre-op and post-op visits.

Qualifications
* Eligible for Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
* MB BS or recognised equivalent
* Primary FRCA or equivalent
Experience
* Four years full-time postgraduate training (or part-time equivalent), at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in anaesthesia or as fixed term specialty trainee in Anaesthesia, OR equivalent experience/competencies
* Assessment of emergencies
* 12 months NHS experience
