Job Description
One of my leading defence clients is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to support the design and development of high-integrity components and mechanisms for military vehicle systems. The role covers concept design, CAD modelling, prototyping, testing, and documentation, delivering robust solutions for demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop concept and detailed designs using CREO Parametric.
* Produce engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions.
* Work with SMEs and design authorities on subsystem solutions.
* Support prototype build, testing, and design proving.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Experience in the defence sector, ideally with Armoured Fighting Vehicles and related systems.
* Strong mechanical design background, including complex mechanisms.
* Proficient in CREO and Windchill.
* Experience designing for harsh environments.
* Strong documentation, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Additional Information:
* On-site presence required on Mondays and Tuesdays
* One to two interview stages.
* Feedback on applications typically provided within 2–3 days.
