Key Responsibilities:
* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning and sanitising techniques.
* Clean and sanitise food preparation surfaces, storage areas, and equipment following hygiene standards.
* Clean the entire kitchen after closing to prepare for the next day.
* Empty waste bins and maintain cleanliness in kitchen and storage areas.
* Support the kitchen team by taking deliveries and ensuring ingredients and supplies are properly stocked.
* Follow instructions from kitchen staff to facilitate efficient workflow.
* Assist the Chef with basic food preparation, such as cutting ingredients, peeling, and washing food items.
* Support Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
* Handle and dispose of food waste properly, following waste management guidelines.
* Follow recycling and composting practices to minimise environmental impact.
* Comply with health and safety regulations, including proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
* Report safety hazards, accidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
* Follow personal hygiene practices, including handwashing and wearing protective gear.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised, capable of handling multiple tasks.
* A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal supervision.
