Science Teacher at Secondary PRU

Prospero Teaching is working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Chorlton that supports 11- to 16-year-olds with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a safe and tailored learning environment.
This school is seeking an experienced Qualified Science Teacher to join from September.

Science Teacher Key Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
* Consideration for Primary trained teachers with a Science specialism
* Early Career Teachers (ECT) are welcome to apply
* Experience teaching Science to students with SEN, preferably SEMH
* Experience teaching GCSE Science to a range of learners
* Passion for championing students with SEND
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Science
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)
The role is to start in September 2023 and will run for the academic year. Although advertised as a permanent position, applications are encouraged.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
* QTS, PGCE, or equivalent
* Previous experience in a UK school
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (preferably within the last year) – free courses available through Prospero Teaching

* Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
