Chief Operating Officer Douglas & Grahame is a long-established, privately owned menswear business with a proud heritage and a reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and brand integrity. As they embark on an exciting chapter of operational and digital evolution, we are seeking a financially astute, commercially focused and strategically minded Chief Operating Officer to join their executive team. This is a new and pivotal role, working in close partnership with the Managing Director to drive improvement, excellence and transformation to help shape and deliver the next phase of our growth. With direct responsibility for Finance, IT, Operations and HR, you will bring both the strategic perspective and operational discipline needed to ensure the business continues to deliver to the highest standards. As COO, you will: Provide strategic leadership alongside the Managing Director and Board, influencing the long-term direction of the business. Highly skilled in successful change management Oversee key operational functions including warehousing, logistics, finance, HR, IT, and compliance. Mentor and support a talented senior leadership team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Guide and support the successful delivery of a company-wide ERP implementation. Ensure clarity, transparency, and discipline in financial and operational performance reporting to the Board. Act as a senior problem-solver, removing barriers and driving momentum across the organisation. About you We are looking for a fully qualified accountant with proven senior operational leadership experience in a complex, product-based organisation. You will combine strong financial acumen with broad cross-functional leadership skills, ideally within retail, wholesale, or distribution environments.
