This role will be based at Holmes Court in South Wigston, Leicestershire. The home is specially designed to cater to the every need of 78 residents living with a range of learning disabilities, sensory impairments and mental health conditions that require dignified support from our caring team. Candidates for this role must be patient, understanding and respectful of each resident’s individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Bank Care Assistant
* Assist residents with their personal hygiene and dressing for the day, or retiring to bed for the evening
* Support residents to dine at mealtimes and maintain good nutrition and hydration
* Encourage residents to mobilise safely around the home, with the support of mobility aids and specialist equipment
* Provide friendship and companionship, and accompany residents on social outings or appointments
* Maintain accurate and timely written records and complete documentation
* Engage with other care professionals as a part of a multi‑disciplinary team to promote the health and well‑being of our residents
* Welcoming family members to the home and assist with enquiries
What we’re looking for in our Bank Care Assistant
To be successful within this role you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is desirable but not essential as full training is provided. Candidates for this role must be patient, understanding and respectful of each resident’s individual abilities. An understanding of dementia would be beneficial for many residents.
