Must Haves:
* HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in an estimating role
* Strong ability to read technical drawings and produce accurate material take-offs
* IT literate with good command of estimating tools or systems
* Experience in compiling bid information and producing quotations
Nice to Haves:
* Experience in structural steel or fabrication-based projects
* Familiarity with industry-standard estimating or CAD software
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
* Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
The Role
Our client has been established for over 60 years and a leader in the engineering sector, is seeking an experienced Technical Estimator to support the delivery of accurate and competitive quotations for a range of steelwork projects. You’ll work closely with engineering and commercial teams to carry out material take-offs, interpret drawings, and contribute directly to the success of bids.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and commercial insight to join a stable and forward-thinking team.
