We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team, supporting a range of Mitie clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to lead a cleaning team while ensuring consistently high service standards across routine, planned, and periodic cleaning operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of cleaning operatives, including their recruitment, training, and ongoing development. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality cleaning services in line with agreed schedules, while monitoring performance to maintain consistent standards of cleanliness. The role also involves providing on-the-job training, particularly around Health & Safety procedures and technical cleaning guidance. You will manage stock levels, order cleaning supplies, and oversee the correct use of cleaning materials. Additionally, you will distribute uniforms and ensure compliance with company standards. Handling operational issues promptly and professionally will be a key part of the role, with escalation where necessary.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in cleaning supervision or a similar role, along with strong leadership and communication skills. You will be reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently. A good understanding of Health & Safety practices is essential, as is the ability to organise workloads effectively and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
