Fixed Term Consultant in Acute Medicine – Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group
This role is based at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, within United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals Trust NHS Trust. We are recruiting a Consultant Physician in Acute Medicine to join our team of 19 Acute Medicine consultants across three acute care hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide treatment of medical patients and refer patients to specialist colleagues as required.
* Maintain continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge and for the proper functioning of the department.
* When the site is facing pressures, review medical patients still in ED awaiting transfer.
* During out-of-hours, provide medical responsibility for patients as the on‑call Physician.
* Work collaboratively with medical and nursing colleagues and adopt a team working approach.
* Contribute to shaping the service locally, collaborating with stakeholders and providing leadership on the shop floor.
Qualifications
* Currently working as a Specialty Doctor or equivalent with experience in Acute Medicine.
* Opportunity for further development and support from a clinical supervisor as part of career progression.
* Support for overseas candidates looking to attain CESR in the UK.
