Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Site Location: Templecombe
Primary Purpose of the Role:
1. Responsible for supporting, configuring and building Systems IT infrastructures, installation on a variety of projects across the business.
Responsibility:
Implementation, maintenance, optimisation and support of customer’s systems supplied and supported by Thales.
Required hardware and software core elements:
2. Microsoft and RHEL Servers - physical and virtual
3. Microsoft Windows 10/11 client
4. Hypervisor technology
5. Scripting – Powershell, Configuration as Code – Ansible – DSC
6. Server and client operating systems configuration
7. Microsoft Active Directory
8. Group Policies
9. SCCM, MECM and WSUS
10. Windows and A/V generic updates
11. Providing 3rd level support and mentoring 2nd/1st line support teams
12. Alignment with third-party vendors and their applicable software and hardware
Experience:
13. Minimum 3 years relevant IT hands-on experience
14. Networking hands on experience and desire to upskill
15. Experience of and a strong understanding of IT security
16. Experience of multi-site organisation
17. Ideally currently SC Cleared
