Job Description
HGV Class 1 Driver
Pay Rate: £13.87 for the first 40 hrs, then £17.37 and weekend £18.37
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 5am- 5pm or 6am-6pm
Industry: Waste & recycling
HGV Class 1 Driver - Duties & Responsibilities
Collection, transportation, and delivery of waste materials
The right person will be responsible for driving the refuse collection lorry and collecting/emptying bins from residential and commercial premises accompanied by loaders
A minimum of 90 days experience within the last 6 months on HGV Class 1 driving is essential.
Drive and operate a class 1 refuse lorry
Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely
HGV Class 2 Driver - Person Specification
Valid UK HGV Class 1 driving license (minimum 6 months)
Digital tachograph card & CPC card
Ability to provide a professional waste management service to residential customers
Excellent, professional work ethic
Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance requirements
