This role focuses on ensuring secure business outcomes for clients by delivering cybersecurity advisory and transformation consulting in areas such as security strategy, risk management, data and identity security, secure intelligent industry, Gen‑AI risk, and security operations modernisation.
Key responsibilities
* Engage in projects that transform clients’ cybersecurity and architecture capabilities to reduce business and technology risk.
* Provide expertise in the strategic, organisational, and human aspects of cybersecurity, including security strategy definition and influencing senior leadership.
* Conduct threat modelling, risk management, and security overlay approaches through security maturity assessments.
* Translate technical domains into business value, tailoring solutions to maximise client results and highlight quick wins.
* Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to deliver security strategy, governance, security testing, identity & access management (IAM), security architecture, privacy, and cyber‑data analytics.
* Support business development by contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, and client pitches.
* Participate in internal contribution activities such as practice development, campaign creation, and white‑paper authorship.
* Engage in learning and development activities, pursuing relevant certifications and training.
Domain expertise (Senior Consultant)
* Security Assurance: Deliver robust security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and Cyber Essentials, customising them to clients’ environments and regulatory demands.
* Security Architecture: Assess, design, and implement secure architectural patterns that align with industry standards such as CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT.
* Generative AI: Enable secure design and adoption of Gen‑AI applications, ensuring compliance with the evolving regulatory landscape (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR).
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in one or more cybersecurity domains, including security risk management, architecture, engineering, communications & network security, identity & access management, or security testing.
* Experience with SOC teams, OT security, security architecture, transformation projects, and cybersecurity assessments.
* Familiarity with core cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and relevant regulations.
* Understanding of the future of Gen‑AI and its impact on cybersecurity.
* Relevant qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ preferred.
* Current consulting experience or comparable industry background.
* Proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation, securing support from peers and stakeholders.
* Experience in proposition building and delivery.
* Cross‑sector knowledge across Capgemini’s core sectors such as financial services, public sector, energy, and manufacturing.
* Excellent communication skills with confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
* Experience leading or managing delivery in cybersecurity projects.
* Security clearance at SC level or above, or eligibility for clearance.
