General Practice Clinical Pharmacist
Band 6 / Band 7 Dependant on Experience
We are looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our expanding multidisciplinary team within Dundee HSCP. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to highquality, patientcentred primary care across several general practices.
The post is offered as a Band 7position, with the option of a Band 6 development role for suitable candidates. Progression to Band 7 will be supported through a structured competencybased framework, including independent prescribing where appropriate.
You will work closely with GPs, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and wider primary care colleagues to optimise medicines use, improve patient outcomes, and support safe, effective prescribing.
In a typical working week you will have:
1. 6 sessions working alongside pharmacy technicians and assistants to undertake medicines reconciliation post discharge or outpatient review, and deal with medication related queries from patients or other healthcare professionals
2. 2 sessions undertaking medication reviews or other clinical activities in GP practices
3. 1 session undertaking personal or service development based on your own interest QI project, sustainability, a specific clinical specialism, leadership
4. 1 session to focus on completing an advanced practice portfolio (including independent prescribing if necessary)

Hours of work are: 36 hours over 5 days. Part-time applicants will be considered.
