Teaching Personnel is looking for supportive, reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in the Taunton area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping pupils succeed and is keen to gain valuable experience in different school environments.
You will be working closely with teachers and support staff to provide classroom assistance, help pupils stay engaged in their learning, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school atmosphere. Each day brings variety, making this role ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and adapting to different settings.
Role responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils in lessons, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis
* Assisting teachers with classroom tasks, resources and lesson delivery
* Encouraging positive behaviour and participation
* Helping create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment
* Working flexibly across year groups and school settings
What we are looking for:
* Experience working with children or young people (school, childcare, coaching or similar)
* Good communication skills and a patient, supportive manner
* Ability to adapt to different classrooms and routines
* A positive attitude towards helping students learn and grow
* Willingness to take direction and work collaboratively with school staff
