Lecturer in Plumbing (on‑site)
Salary: £30,000 – £44,000 per annum, subject to the college salary assessment process, plus a market forces supplement of up to £4,383 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. Hours: 35 per week, 52 weeks a year (up to 24 teaching hours and 11 preparation and other duties).
We are looking for a passionate professional who can share their skills, knowledge and experience with future generations of tradespeople. Your role will involve teaching plumbing-related subjects up to Level 3, encouraging and inspiring students to develop competence and confidence for industry.
Requirements: Relevant, up-to-date industry expertise and a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a plumbing-related subject. An Assessor Award and a teaching qualification, or a commitment to achieving both within a specified period. Right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
We provide support for staff transitioning into education, including guidance for training and development to obtain required qualifications. You will work in a team environment committed to delivering the best experience for our students.
Location: Suffolk New College, Ipswich (multi‑campus site; may need to travel between campuses).
