Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation, and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The postholder will provide a range of technical support activities using an in-depth knowledge and understanding of current technical or scientific skills in order to interpret and facilitate staff/student/customer requirements. They will perform experimental investigation and analysis, install and configure new equipment, diagnose and resolve technical issues/problems. - ABOUT YOU - The postholder will be required to have: - An A level or BTEC ND/NC or equivalent qualification in a relevant health or life sciences discipline or related subject. - Substantial working experience at an appropriate level in biochemical and structural analysis with evidence of good computer literacy skills in the use of email, word processing, and relevant analytical software applications. - Evidence of knowledge and practical working experience in the use of a wide range of techniques and instrumentation associated with structural analysis, e.g. X-Ray Diffraction analysers, tissue fixation and staining, X-Ray based techniques.
