Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the sales process. Duties
* Analyse project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
* Prepare detailed quotations for clients, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
* Collaborate with sales and technical teams to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
* Assist in upselling opportunities by identifying additional services or products that could benefit clients.
* Maintain organised records of all estimates, proposals, and related documentation.
* Follow up with clients regarding quotations, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
* Support the sales team during negotiations to secure contracts and maximise revenue.
* Keep abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new products or services to enhance estimation accuracy.
Requirements
* Proven experience in estimating within a relevant industry; mechanical knowledge is highly desirable.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
* Ability to handle cash transactions accurately when required.
* Demonstrated upselling skills to maximise sales opportunities.
* Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools such as spreadsheets and estimation programmes.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience in a similar role or industry is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
