Your new role
As Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a healthy cash flow and ensuring the accuracy of the Sales Ledger. You’ll be responsible for managing customer accounts, chasing outstanding payments, and supporting wider finance operations. This is a varied and hands-on role that offers autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact.
Key responsibilities:
1. Create new customer accounts ensuring all information is correct for sales and finance reporting and maintain ongoing amendments.
2. Credit check new and existing accounts to establish suitable credit limits, ensuring insurance is in place where necessary.
3. Ensure final and debt collector letters are sent to customers within the required timescale.
4. Process all invoicing runs and take responsibility for discrepancy resolution.
5. Process credit card and cheque payments.
6. Post cash to customers from bank statements.
7. Ensure process documentation exists for all tasks, is accurate, up to date and followed.
8. Provide cover and assistance where necessary to other members of the finance department.
What you'll need to succeed

13. £28,000 per annum
14. Standard working hours 8:30-17:00 (mon-thurs), 8:30-15:30 (fri)
15. Flexitime - office open from 7:30-17:45 (mon-thurs) 7:30-15:30 (fri)
