Adecco is pleased to be recruiting for a Trainer to join Dorset Police. You would be based at their HQ in Winfrith.
This post is office-based, working office hours, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £17.24 per hour.
Based at Winfrith, however, you may need to have the flexibility to travel to their premises in Ferndown too. Please note, this post is temporary until March 2026.
The purpose of the role:
* To design and deliver training and development interventions to ensure that the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and behaviour of police officers, staff, and other members of the force meet the requirements and priorities of the force.
* This role will focus on delivering initial and various force training programs across defined geographic areas, as well as targeted training for specific groups of staff. Posts are based in specified geographic areas across Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall.
Responsibilities:
* The main responsibilities include coordinating and preparing annual training schedules, designing, developing, and delivering training packages, which may include initial and force training.
* All training posts are generic, and there may be a requirement to deliver training as a facilitator or lecturer in other areas as needed.
* Design and deliver training packages for on-the-job and off-the-job training, including written materials, classroom sessions, and learning exercises, utilizing all available technology and adopting innovative delivery methods where appropriate.
* Identify individual training needs and organizational training needs through training needs analysis. Meet and discuss with line management and senior police and support staff to assess training requirements. Accurately evaluate the skills and abilities of trainees against relevant standards.
Please note, due to Police criteria, you must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years continuously. Less than this will not be considered.
