Quality Technician
I am seeking a detail-driven Quality Technician to support the Quality and Engineering teams of a global manufacturer based in Knutsford. The ideal candidate will be confident working with material certifications, suppliers and internal departments to ensure full compliance with company and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with Engineering and Quality teams on certification queries.
* Conduct witness testing at test houses.
* Conduct internal audits and participate in 2nd/3rd party audits.
* Compile monthly QA reports and KPIs.
* Provide QA input for Change Management requests.
* Support customer return investigations using tools such as 8D.
* Support supplier performance reviews, audits and corrective action follow-ups.
* Monitor performance of new or re-sourced parts.
* Maintain quality procedures, work instructions and forms.
* Investigate product/process failures and implement corrective actions (8D, 5Y).
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers or distributors.
* Knowledge of quality testing methods and material standards.
* Strong communication skills and ability to analyse data.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001, API and quality methodologies.
* Minimum GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
