We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Manager of Library Branches in West Berkshire. Our aim is to encourage reading for all ages through traditional library services as well as new digital technologies. We are aiming to increase usage of library services and foster better links with community groups as well as the general public.
Responsibilities
* Leading and motivating a team of library staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment
* Implementing and delivering library services, programmes, and initiatives in line with community needs
* Monitoring and evaluating service performance, providing regular reports to the Libraries Manager
* Building effective partnerships with local organisations, community groups, and stakeholders
Qualifications
* A positive and consistent approach to excellent customer service
* The ability to lead and motivate staff and volunteers to create a cohesive team
* Is proactive and able to develop ideas to improve the library service
* Flexible, innovative and accepts change
* Excellent IT and communication skills
