Affinity Workforce is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cover Supervisor to support the learning and well-being of children aged 4-11 or 11-16 years old. This role varies from working one-on-one with special educational needs children to being a classroom support as a whole, ensuring needs are met while encouraging development and fostering a positive environment. This is a rewarding role as a relationship is established between the student and the Teaching Assistant, and can lead to a long-term opportunity. You Will: As a cover supervisor, following the cover work set and holding a classroom in a secondary school enviroment. Support students with varying levels of SEND Assist in the evaluation of student progress while feeding this back to the school Provide pastoral support and help students develop positive relationships and independent learning skills The Ideal Candidate Have experience working with children (Does not have to be within a school setting) Have a broad understanding of the education system. Understand safeguarding practices. Be capable of strong communication and have organisational skills. Will be calm, reliable, and committed to building positive relationships with the students they work with.
