The reason for this role is because the current incumbent has been promoted into a more business focussed role, proving this is an excellent company to work for with career progression available. To be considered for this role, CassonX is looking for someone who is part qualified, or without any accounting qualification, who has worked in a credit control (payables and receivables) function. You must have an understanding of accounting fundamentals is a must such as debits and credits, processing of invoices, good day to day experience of using Excel coupled with bank reconciliations to be considered, but most importantly we are looking for a happy, hard working and team ethic attitude. Any exposure to MS Navision Dynamics is distinctly advantageous. Preference will be given to those who work in commodities / a utilities company, if not then those from a professional working environment like Financial Services or Audit firms. Your experience must be gained in the UK and you must have the right work in the UK to be considered. Some of the responsibilities include: Processing high volumes of sales and purchase invoices on a monthly basis. This would be in the region of 400-500 invoices. Undertaking daily multi-currency bank reconciliations. Managing receivables and following up on overdue amounts with customers Ensuring timely payments to suppliers Balance sheet reconciliations. Liaising with front office and the operations to solve any discrepancies should one arise. Fixed assets register maintenance Calculation and posting of accruals, prepayments and assisting in month end close activities Intercompany and third party recharges and reconciliations VAT compliance. Preparation and submission of VAT returns Preparation and submission of regulatory returns with guidance from senior team members Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts under guidance from senior accountants More details are available to those who send a relevant CV.
