Procurement Apprentice - Level 3

Fixed Term up to 2 years
This is a new opportunity for you to join our corporate procurement unit and follow an apprenticeship, which will give you the skills and experience to pursue a career in Procurement.
Gaining on the job training and practical support to achieve a level 3 in Supply Chain Management, you will also have the opportunity to work alongside experienced category specialists.
You will support the team in providing a category management approach to procurement, support with the implementation and development of Procurement initiatives and maintain the corporate contracts register.
With a good standard of education (minimum of 5 GCSE’s including maths and English and 2 A Levels or equivalent), you will have procurement generalist experience, good analytical and problem‑solving skills and the ability to work with managers and employees across the organisation. Good attention to detail and the ability to work logically and a commitment to continuous learning and development will be key to your success.
Applications will not be considered for those who have already achieved a qualification at Level 3 or above, including degree level, in Supply Chain Management.
You will demonstrate a flexible approach to the role and should have an understanding of procurement within a Local Government setting.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
