In this role you will play a crucial part in shaping the Theatres Anaesthetics and Perioperative retention strategy and will have an opportunity to excel in professional development, leadership and management. We work collaboratively with Lambeth, Guys Main and North Wing Theatres.

Main duties of the job
All candidates applying for this position will actively participate in various clinical and non-clinical roles including:
1. Attending theatre scheduling meetings
2. Assisting with staff rostering, allocation and ensuring adequate skill mix
3. Possess clinical expertise in Anaesthetic/ recovery/ scrub/ surgical admission and Nurse- Led Discharge
4. Assisting with Incident report and complaint investigation
5. Demonstrate ability to work in a team
6. Address staffing and clinical concerns by escalating them appropriately

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will oversee various clinical and non-clinical responsibilities. Tower Theatres comprises of three operating theatres, a lithotripsy suite and clinical care endoscopy patients. The clinical area also supports a surgical admissions area and post-operative second stage recovery for day case procedures. Lambeth Theatres comprises of 6 operating theatres, The clinical area also supports a surgical admissions area and post-operative second stage recovery for day case procedures. The clinical areas works in collaboration in North Main Theatres to support patient discharges where appropriate. Nuffield Theatres is undergoing major expansion to support a new surgical admission lounge, two new modular theatres and an 8 bedded recovery unit. This is a very exciting project which will present opportunity for growth and development to successful the candidate.

Qualifications/ Education
Essential criteria
14. BSC/1st degree (health related) or equivalent qualification/training and experience
15. Mentorship/Teaching Qualification
16. Post Registration/ CPD Anaesthetic/ Recovery/ Scrub
17. Evidence of ongoing professional development in relevant area of speciality
Desirable criteria
18. Leadership and Management Course
19. Experience managing budgets
Professional/ Statutory Registration
Essential criteria
20. RN1/ RN2/ RN12 or RN Child Registered Nurse on the NMC register. To hold the appropriate level for the area of speciality.
