Are you looking for a post based within our York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management Team? Are you a strong team player, kind, friendly and motivated? Then we may have the role for you. York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) are looking for approachable and flexible Cleaning & Catering Operatives to join our team at Scarborough General Hospital. Experience is not necessary as full training will be given, but a willingness to learn and develop your skills is essential. The main function of this post is to participate in maintaining levels of cleanliness throughout a designated area, and providing a catering service.
Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness in the ward/area assigned in accordance with the work schedule; this includes lifting items and operating cleaning machinery, some of which is industrial standard.
* Undertake specialist cleaning as required under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor and/or Nurse in Charge and/or Infection Prevention Department.
* Assist with the distribution of meals to wards.
* Plating up meals, ensuring the dietary requirements of patients are met.
* Make and distribute hot drinks and clean and refill water jugs.
