If so, Teaching Personnel are currently working with an Ofsted graded Good school based in Northwich that are actively looking for a suitable candidate to work as a 1:1 support assistant with a student that has additional SEMH requirements. Within this role, the successful candidate will be working closely with the school SENCO and classroom teacher to gain a stronger understanding of the students’ needs and requirements going forward.
The successful candidate will be someone who has a strong understanding of child psychology and social, emotional, mental health. Prior experience working within a mainstream primary school would be highly desirable, but not essential.
Role Requirements:
* 1:1 Work with students struggling with their social, emotional, mental health.
* Pastoral intervention with both SEN and SEMH students
* Building a SEMH support plan with the school SENCO.
* Safeguarding experience within a school setting (this can be done through Teaching Personnel).
You will be working within a passionate faculty who are focused on the development of SEN students, alongside working closely with the school SENCO and HLTAs to gain a better understanding on the students’ requirements.
About the role:
* PAYE rates of £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)
* Great location with excellent transport links between Congleton and Warrington
* Full time – Monday to Friday
* Start- Date: 1st September
