Purpose of the role
The Business Administrator provides essential financial and administrative support to the business. The role combines bookkeeping and invoicing with customer service, product demos, and first-line support. The post holder ensures accurate and timely financial management, efficient administration, and high-quality customer engagement.
Key responsibilities
Bookkeeping and invoicing
* Create, send, and manage sales invoices for customers
* Record customer payments and maintain accurate accounts receivable records
* Monitor overdue accounts and follow up to ensure timely collection of payments
* Reconcile income with financial records and support preparation of management accounts
* Liaise with external accountants as required
Customer service and support
* Act as a first point of contact for customer queries
* Deliver online product demonstrations to prospective and existing customers
* Provide first-line support, logging and resolving routine issues, and escalating complex matters
* Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring professional and timely responses
* Gather customer feedback to help improve products and services
Administration and coordination
* Maintain accurate records, files, and systems including customer databases
* Support directors with scheduling, meeting arrangements and documentation
* Coordinate internal communication to ensure smooth business operations
* Assist with preparation of reports, presentations and documentation
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
Skills and experience
* Proven experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, or accounts administration
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator, able to deliver demos and handle customer interactions professionally
* Experience with accounting software
* Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and support multiple directors
* Proactive approach to problem solving and customer care

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 37.5 per week
