Learning Designer

£32,000 - £35,000 per annum
2 days a month on site in London, rest of the days remote
A well established professional body is looking to hire a Digital Learning Designer to join its small but very ambitious Professional Development team. This role will support the development of engaging, accessible e-learning content to enhance members’ continuing professional development (CPD). Reporting to the E-Learning Manager, you'll be involved from concept through to delivery, working on a major new suite of digital learning products. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage a varied workload are essential. In terms of responsibilities, this role will be based around:
* Design and develop engaging, interactive, and accessible e-learning content from concept to delivery.
* Create multimedia learning assets including video, audio, graphics, and diagrams.
* Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
* Ensure compatibility, accessibility, and presentation of content across devices and the LMS.
* Use learner feedback and performance data to refine and enhance course effectiveness.
* Maintain and update existing courses to ensure ongoing accuracy and alignment.
* Keep abreast of emerging e-learning tools and practices to drive continuous improvement.
* Support LMS configuration and perform basic administration tasks.
* Handle occasional ad-hoc duties such as responding to learner queries or reporting support.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute flexibly to wider organisational priorities as needed.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Experienced in designing and developing digital learning content from storyboard to delivery.
* Skilled in creating and integrating multimedia elements including video, audio, and interactivity.
* Strong written communication abilities, with a flair for instructional text and scripting.
* Confident working with subject matter experts to distil complex ideas into clear, engaging content.
* Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset and the ability to take initiative.
* Organised and capable of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and adapting to shifting priorities.
* Comfortable providing LMS admin support when required.
* Proficient in digital learning tools such as Articulate and Adobe Creative Suite.
* Knowledgeable about current e-learning trends, tools, and best practices.
