Content Strategist Weekend - UK (remote) - Independent Contractors (24-hour week) - 25 - 30 EUR/Hour
Team Description
The curation team members are the tour guides. Welcoming new users and helping them discover where they belong, supporting the growth of smaller communities. As a team member, you will improve content understanding and impact content experiences.
Role Description
This weekend role focuses on EMEA countries and global trends. You will map social media by contextualizing and identifying relationships between subreddits and posts based on culture, trends, audience, genre, and theme. You will create categories and label subreddits and posts to enhance content understanding, leading to better ML recommendations. Availability on Saturdays and Sundays is required, with one weekday of your choice.
Responsibilities
* Partner with European Content Leads to implement content strategy.
* Drive Reddit's understanding of communities, content, and audiences in EMEA.
* Understand and apply policy and labeling guidelines accurately.
* Perform content labeling to maintain accuracy and coverage of community topics and ratings.
* QA of Machine Learning results and creation of datasets for training.
* Identify patterns in datasets and document insights from labeling observations.
Required Qualifications
* Native proficiency and cultural knowledge in French, Spanish, or German.
* Experience investigating, reviewing, or assessing digital content.
* Deep knowledge of Reddit, internet culture, and online trends.
* Strong understanding of news, sports, cinema, business, and cultural events.
Bonus Points
* Multiple language capabilities.
* Experience as a content creator/curator or social media manager for TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram.
* Experience moderating on Reddit.
